How much power does a remap add?

There is no honest single number. A 2.0 turbo diesel is not a naturally aspirated V6. Torque is what you feel first.

Reviewed by the lab desk before it went live. We write files; we do not rubber-stamp brochure numbers.

If a website promises ‘+40 hp on every car’, close the tab. A 1.0 EcoBoost and a B58 BMW do not live on the same planet. Turbo engines have room in the calibration. Old naturally aspirated engines often do not.

What you feel on the road is torque. A diesel Stage 1 that picks up 40–60 Nm in the middle of the rev range changes how the car leaves a roundabout. The horsepower number on a dyno sheet is a later conversation, and it depends on fuel, temperature, and whether the workshop’s roller is having a good day.

We price in credits, not in fantasy hp. You pick Stage 1, Stage 2 or an option. The engineer writes to the dump. If you want a target, put it in the notes as a target, not as a threat.

For brand-by-brand context, open the brand pages — Volkswagen, BMW, Ford, Renault all behave differently. And remember the legal bit: these files are for circuit and motorsport, not for a claim on a public road.
